My lovely 2 year has learned the phase, I told you. It can be used many different ways, for example, Mommy I told you I love you, or I told you I want cheerios. This is the response I received when I walked by the kitchen and didn't make a sharp left to the cheerio cabinet. With her hand on her hip and an expression that won't quit she said again "I told you I want cheerios, get it mommy." Has this child lost her mind ?!?! I suddenly thought my 2 year old was 12 years old. Where does she get this from?
Then it hit me.... she gets it from me. She hears me say her Daddy / My husband all the time, I told you to get milk, or I told you that already. So therefore, I am blaming him. If I didn't have to repeat myself constantly she wouldn't hear me tell him "I told you" all the time. So when in doubt, blame your husband !!
